The Necessary Outpour has a new home!

Friends, well wishers, and dear readers

The Necessary Outpour had disappeared from the radar for almost one and half years. However, the writing did not stop. TNO is now on Facebook Notes!

As most you are already on my friends lists, I feel Facebook is more open, democratic and accessible. All posts are accessible to everyone, including those not on my friend lists. Plus, since I am writing a lot more, you won't be getting any emails from me for every post!

Thanks for your continuous support!

Love,

Parag

1st January 2009

You are the most prized asset, you who can feel, understand and act. Anything and everything that ever happens, happens to add value to the only prized asset in this world and beyond, the asset that matters most: You. Anything beyond you can be desired and of course rightfully earned through hard work and intellect. However, your status and surroundings may enhance today but hinder tomorrow. Alas, these may be pretty or ugly but always peripheral, and temporary.

Dear friend, therefore, let it be. Till the last breath, focus solely and exclusively on the prized asset, the asset that matters most, the asset that is you. Today, you must feel more valuable than yesterday, because you are and will always remain the centre of the universe.

Happy New Year and May All Your Dreams Come True!

21st February 2008

There are 2 kinds of positive thinking. When something goes wrong, you try to be positive. This is defensive positive thinking. Or you can be proactively positive. You don't need to wait for something to go wrong. You don't need to really know what to be positive about. Content does not matter. Attitude does.

For example, neuro linguistic programming focuses on the process of turning positive thoughts into positive action.

Watch your thoughts for negative statements or even subtle hints of negativity like: 'I'm going to to achieve the unattainable', which may seem very positive at first. Replace 'unattainable' with 'best'. The more you do this, the better the mind becomes at associating with positive words.

And as I learnt yesterday, the power of imagination (thought) is limitless and magical. To see how, try imagining a lemon in your mouth for the next 30 seconds.
